The student voices have been heard. Beginning sometime in the next academic year Chic-fil-a will be serving chicken biscuits for breakfast.

Josh Johnson, a senior member of SGA, was a part of the process in bringing the chicken biscuits to campus. “Having chic-fil-a chicken biscuits on campus has been a hovering idea ever since I came to GWU,” said Johnson.

Many students have been expressing their opinions on how they wish Chic-fil-a served breakfast items. The idea was shot down at first because the Chi-fil-a on campus is an “Express” version and not a full service restaurant. This restricts the amount and type of equipment they are allowed to have. They will not have anything other than the chicken biscuits available.

“We were not given a specific timeline, but sometime during the next academic year isn’t outside the realm of possibility,” said Johnson.

Due to this change, the biscuits at Simply-To-Go will be moved from downstairs of the Dover Campus Center to the cafeteria during breakfast.

“The meal exchange option will move to the cafeteria. Biscuits will not be served at Simply-To-Go, but instead, be available as a to go option in the Caf,” explained Johnson. Students will still be able to get the Simply-To-Go biscuits as meal exchange in the cafeteria. The only thing to change is the location.

There are no other changes to food vendors on campus that have been made known to the student government association.
