The Freshman class of 2020 will elect their student government representatives Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016.
Each candidate will present a speech during the Dimensions hour and freshmen will have the opportunity to vote by ballot at the end of the session.
The nominees for class president are Amber Freeney, Keiran Green, Shelby Putnam and Bridgette Turner. Once elected, the president will appoint a vice president. Those interested include Vashawn Carey, Tracy Powell and Carlos Williams. As of now, Sarah Stewart is the sole nominee for Freshman Class Senator.
The new representatives will join the Gardner-Webb University Student Government Association class of 2016-2017, which is currently made up of 19 representatives from the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes.
