The E. Jerome Scott Gospel Choir is doing their Spring Fundraiser, and with the help of others, the Gospel Choir can raise $500 dollars for profits that will be used as they go on their first singing tour.

The Gospel Choir is selling boxes of cookie dough along with other items such as pretzels, cheesecake, and pizzas. The fundraiser started February 2, and will end February 23. Members of the Gospel Choir need to sell at least 10 or more items in order to meet their goal. Prices of the items range from 15 to 23 dollars.

Participates must make their checks out to E. Jerome Scott Gospel Choir.

Choir Director, Ricky Alston said, “The Gospel Choir tour will happen during the last weekend in March. We will visit various cities in North Carolina including Durham, Greensboro, High Point, and Lake Wylie, S.C.”

The main purpose of the tour is to share God and worship with other churches outside the Boiling Springs and Shelby Community. Alston said they hope to continue growing the gospel choir and represent the university in different communities within the Carolinas.
