The Campus Ministries United (CMU) department is hosting their annual fall retreat at Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC this Friday.<\/p>\n
CMU will leave campus Friday at 3 p.m., and return Saturday. Events going on at the fall retreat include: worship, bible study, games and breakout sessions.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe thing I am looking forward to the most is the opportunity for many of the freshmen to see and experience Campus Ministries for the first time,\u201d said CMU Coordinator, James Mauney.<\/p>\n
There are a few changes from last year. Mauney said they will only have two leaders for the breakout session instead of four.<\/p>\n
Dr. Eddie Stepp, a GWU religion professor, and Matt Orth, a teaching elder at Broad River Community Church and a member of Clayton King Ministries. The main sessions will be led by Michael Kelley.<\/p>\n
Rachel Rushing will be leading the worship sessions. Rushing is a worship leader at Broad River Community Church. She has led worship for previous CMU events.<\/p>\n
Mauney said, \u201cMicah Honeycutt, JJ Gibbs, Mindy Robinson and myself have worked together, and ultimately I am excited to once again head to the beautiful Ridgecrest Conference Center in Asheville, N.C.\u201d<\/p>\n
They are expecting to have about 100 students for the second time in a row.<\/p>\n
