Tyler Davis, the assistant director for Housing and Education at Gardner-Webb, resigned from his position on Feb. 10 to work for the city of Gastonia as a grant facilitator for the Housing and Neighborhood Department.<\/p>\n

Davis has worked for Gardner-Webb since he was an undergraduate in 2007. After graduating in 2010, he continued to work for Gardner-Webb professionally as the office manager in the housing department. He then served as the assistant director for two and a half years.<\/p>\n

According to Davis, the best part about his job at Gardner-Webb was, \u201cbeing able to connect with [the students] and hopefully help them out, whether it\u2019s through the housing process or a roommate conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis has helped many students during his time at Gardner-Webb. \u201cAs someone who has lived in four different dorms in three years, Tyler has helped me tremendously,\u201d said Chris Coffey, a junior at Gardner-Webb. \u201cHe is always willing to lend a hand and is one the kindest, friendliest [staff] members I have encountered here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jacob Walley, a junior at Gardner-Webb, said, \u201cTyler Davis went in head over heels to make sure we got the suite we wanted, he\u2019s a very friendly guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Davis was successful and enjoyed helping students out at Gardner-Webb, he will be switching into a new role, helping Gastonia residents. \u201cIt was time for [my wife and I] to start a new journey, be able to look forward to starting a family and be able to start a new phase in life,\u201d said Davis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
