This is an event in which family and friends get to spend time with their soon to graduate loved ones and place a GWU pin on the graduating students.<\/p>\n<p>The event hosted speakers such as Dr. Delores Hunt, vice president of Student Development who opened up the ceremony by welcoming family and friends and giving a prayer of gratitude.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Eddie Stepp, department chair of Religious Studies, was the main speaker for the program. He gave very inspirational antidotes about how Gardner-Webb has shaped the seniors of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImagine yourself as a pot roast in a crock pot and throughout the years you get spices and other vegetables added to your mix,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen the ladle (life) comes to get you, only the most important things are taken along with you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After Stepp\u2019s word of wisdom, every graduating senior was pinned by their parent or friend at their own tables.
