Clemson, SC – Aug. 26, 2024- GWU women’s golf competed in their first event of the season in the two-round, one-day Tiger Classic finishing 15th in a highly competitive field. Incoming freshman Eva Bulger led the Bulldogs with a +4 (74-74), 27th-place overall finish.
Bulger stated, “My first collegiate went well, obviously I could have done better but it is a great start for me.”
Neza Siftar and Vileska Gelpi also both carded a +5(74-75), 31st-place overall finish for the Bulldogs. GWU women’s golf has not experienced playing Clemson University before, so this was a big deal for the team.
Rising sophomore Georgia Barr stated, “It was great playing a tournament with a stronger field, it gave me a better sense as to where my game is at in comparison to players at a higher level of Division 1 Women’s Golf. I am looking forward to working hard at those aspects of my game to better perform at upcoming events.”
The Bulldogs will play five more highly competitive events in the spring season.
