Graduating seniors have things to look forward to, memories to look back on and advice to share with others.
Heather Feldman, the Eden, N.Y. native, is a May graduate of Gardner Webb University. With past endeavors in music, theater and sports, the senior said, “I will miss the people in the athletic and music community the most.”
She will be earning her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Music Performance with a concentration in voice and a minor in Theater.
“In order to graduate I have to give a senior recital”, said Feldman. “This means that I have to pass a hearing, which is like a mini concert, with 30 minutes of memorized classical music.”
As a bonus, Feldman will also be singing Broadway tunes such as “Don’t Rain on my Parade” and “No Good Deed” from Wicked to finish out her solo recital. Her recital will be on April 16, at 8 p.m. in Blanton Auditorium.
After graduation Feldman plans are to audition for gigs with the goal of being on Broadway in New York City.
Not only is Feldman a member of the Gardner Webb Music Department but she has also been a proud member of the Runnin’ Bulldogs Volleyball Team for the past four years. She has made over 1000 assists while playing volleyball for the university.
One of the most valuable things a graduating senior can give to upcoming seniors is advice for their last two semesters. Feldman’s advice is, “take advantage of all the free things around campus and make great memories because you’re only a senior once, Y.O.S.O!!!”
