Simply To Go was a comprehensive, convenient meal program targeted at students and staff that needed a food fix in a hurry in the Dover Campus Center (DCC). However, this year Simply To Go has now moved locations due to Chick-fil-a’s new breakfast option.

Suzanne Glasscock, General Manager of Sodexo Food Services stated, “First, there were several focus group meetings last year for students, faculty and staff. The overall consensus from these meetings was the strong desire to bring breakfast to our Chick-fil-A Express. Later, a follow-up meeting was conducted with the Student Government Association to further discuss food service options.”

During these follow-up meetings, attendants were informed that it was a violation of Chick-fil-A policies to have Simply To Go offer breakfast at the same time as Chick-fil-A. The compromise was to move the option of Meal Exchange breakfast down to the Tucker Student Center and to offer quick grab-and-go biscuits in the Cafeteria.

At this time, the space that was once occupied by Simply To Go in the DCC is being used as additional storage needed by Chick-fil-A and the Cafeteria. Glasscock said, “the staff that used to work in the DCC have all been relocated to Tucker. We have not had any job cuts and do not plan to do so. In fact, this move has actually caused an increase in available employment opportunities and we have been able to hire additional crew members.”
